Functions is a specific way of using algebra which is very helpful in mathematics and relates closely with cartesian geometry. A function is like a machine which changes an input into an output (can you see why this might relate to cartesian geometry?)

We’re going to study functions broken up into the following topics:

1. Linear Functions;
2. Graphical Solution to Simultaneous Equations;
3. Linear graphs: y=mx+c;
4. Parallel and Perpendicular Lines;
5. Direct Proportion;
6. Inverse of a Function;
7. Sequences.
8. General Practice on the above.
