The fist part of the course will reinforce and extend the material that you have student on different ways of representing data (including statistics to measure the centre and the dispersion of data, and useful graphs). We then look again at probability, and at the important concepts of permutations and combinations which are central to a study of probability. Finally we introduce our first probability distributions, namely the binomial distribution, the geometric distribution and the normal distribution.
