A rectilineal shape is any shape where all of the sides are straight (we can also use the word polygon instead of shape here). You need to know the properties of certain rectilineal shapes, and especially 4-sided ones, which are called quadrilaterals.

Which quadrilaterals do you know the names of, and which of their properties do you know? What are the names of some rectilineal shapes with more than 4 sides? What does it mean if we say a shape is regular?
