    Here we combine all of the techniques above for some more difficult examples. On these you will also need sometimes to change the form of one or both sides of the equations for instance by factorising or by expanding brackets.

    Worked Examples:

    • Make x the subject of the formula:
      • Ax-B = Cx+D;
      • x+a = \frac{x+b}{c}
      • \sqrt{\frac{x}{x+a}} = b
